The reference design primarily covers SemiDrive's intelligent cockpit SoC products, the "X9M" and "X9E," which are equipped with ROHM's PMIC, SerDes IC, and LED driver products. Additionally, a reference board based on this design, named "REF66004-EVK-00X," is also provided, consisting of a Core Board, SerDes Board, and Display Board.
SemiDrive and ROHM initiated technical exchanges in 2019 and established a cooperative relationship focused on the development of intelligent cockpit-related applications. SemiDrive's X9 series intelligent cockpit products cover a wide range of cabin application scenarios, including instrument clusters, IVI systems, cabin domain control, and integrated cabin & parking systems. With a production volume in the million-unit level and extensive experience in mass production, SemiDrive's intelligent cockpit solutions have a mature ecosystem.
In this latest collaboration, ROHM and SemiDrive have jointly developed the "REF66004" reference design based on the in-vehicle SoCs, "X9M" and "X9E," with the aim of expanding its application in entry-level cockpits and beyond. The solution can drive up to three displays and support four ADAS or surround-view cameras.
