Shanghai GM (Shenyang) Norsom Motors Co., Ltd. (Shanghai GM Norsom Motors) was incorporated in August 2004.

Corporate Structure

Shanghai GM owns 50 percent of the joint venture, while General Motors China and SAIC each hold 25 percent stakes.

Production

Shanghai GM Norsom Motors' 34,000-square-meter facility in Shenyang, Liaoning, includes body, paint and general assembly shops. It has an annual production capacity of 50,000 vehicles operating on two shifts.

Products

The joint venture currently manufactures the Buick GL8 executive wagon for Shanghai GM.
