It is believed that Shenyang's Dadong District automobile industry doubled production in Jan and Feb. the total output value of three major auto plants reached 5.68 billion Yuan with an output of 37,600 vehicles. According to the auto industry development plan, Dadong District is oriented at the first industry congregated multi-billion dollar assets clusters in Shenyang City.
Currently, there are a total of three auto plants in Shenyang, they are ShanghaiGM Beisheng, Brilliance Jinbei and Brilliance BMW. In January and February this year, the three major auto plants achieved 56.8 billion Yuan, an increase of 107.8%; auto output reached 37600 000 units, increased 19, 600 over the same period last year. In 2006 the proportion of three auto plants output value reached to 54.6%.
