German industrial congolmerate Siemens said Thursday it has signed a EUR450 million long-term agreement with the Chinese rolling stock manufacturer Nanjing SR Puzhen Rail Transport Co. Ltd. to supply components for Chinese intercity trains.
MAIN FACTS:
- Siemens will supply traction equipment and the vehicle control system, the components will come from Siemens' Desiro vehicle platform.
- Puzhen vehicles will run on a 2,000 kilometer track under construction around the Pearl River Delta in Guangdong province due for completion in 2020.
