June 3 (Bloomberg) -- Skoda Auto's Fabia model will become its top-selling car in China once the model is introduced at the end of the year, E15 reported, citing Volkswagen Vice President Detlef Witting.
The Fabia will surpass the Octavia model in China and then surpass the same model's sales in Russia once its manufacturing begins in the country, the newspaper said, citing Wittig, the former chief executive officer of Skoda.
Skoda and its parent Volkswagen will produce a smaller car than the Fabia ``but certainly not sooner than in the next two or three years,'' E15 quoted Wittig as saying.
