Gasgoo Munich- At the Smart EV Development Forum (2026) on April 11, Horizon Robotics founder and CEO Yu Kai said the startup has delivered 10 million driver-assistance systems over its decade-long history, with 4 million set for delivery in 2025. In the L2 ADAS market, Horizon’s share sits near 50%, securing the top spot, while it ranks among the top three in NOA. R&D investment for 2025 is projected at roughly 5 billion yuan.

Yu Kai highlighted the HSD model, China’s first one-stage end-to-end driving assistant launched last year. It already handles over 40% of user driving mileage, with a goal to surpass 50% this year. Horizon plans to mass-produce more than 10 million HSD units in the next three to five years, aiming for a tenfold increase in urban MPI.
On April 22, Horizon will unveil “Xingkong,” China’s first cockpit-driving fusion agent chip. This chip consolidates two domain controllers and two memory systems into one, handling both intelligent cockpit and driving calculations simultaneously to cut per-vehicle costs by 1,500 to 4,000 yuan. Yu Kai noted that automotive computing is shifting from distributed to central integration, urging OEMs to merge cockpit and autonomous-driving teams to adapt. Sticking to its Tier 2 open ecosystem strategy, Horizon generates over 95% of its revenue through partners.
