DAIMLERCHRYSLER AG may sell its Smart cars in China in five years, Welt am Sonntag reported, citing the former head of the unit, Ulrich Walker.
The Smart, which will go on sale in the United States in 2008, is about 2.4 meters long and 1.5 meters high.
The basic model has a three-cylinder, 50-horsepower gasoline engine and has been sold in Europe since 1998.
