Since its founding in 2024, Spirit AI has focused on building a "general brain" for robots. Its proprietary Spirit v1.5 embodied large model has surpassed the international benchmark Pi0.5, reaching a globally leading level.
Bosch, meanwhile, brings deep expertise in actuators, sensors, industrial automation, and smart manufacturing. The company has established a comprehensive ecosystem in China spanning R&D, manufacturing, and supply chains, backed by a wealth of real-world industrial scenarios.
Under the agreement, the two companies will leverage Bosch’s factories and logistics centers in China over the next two years for deep data acquisition and model training. They aim to build a complete technical loop of "real data—embodied model—real scenario," ensuring high data quality and security.
Bosch will also supply Spirit AI with critical robot components such as actuators and sensors, bolstering product development, engineering validation, and the push toward mass production.
Deploying technology in the high-tempo, high-precision environment of automotive manufacturing has long been a litmus test for the maturity of embodied intelligence.
This partnership offers a prime industrial proving ground for embodied large models, accelerating the rollout of humanoid robots and other next-generation agents in production line logistics.
Han Fengtao, founder and CEO of Spirit AI, said the partnership marks a milestone in the company’s shift from technical leadership to industry leadership. Bosch’s prowess in real-world industrial scenarios, global supply chains, and channel resources will significantly accelerate the iteration and commercialization of embodied large models.
Liu Min, vice president of strategy at Bosch China and head of the robotics center, believes the collaboration will introduce a new ecosystem paradigm to the robotics sector.
Looking ahead, Spirit AI remains committed to its vision of "creating a new generation of smart workforce." Together with Bosch and global partners, it aims to reshape the boundaries of human-machine collaboration and inject sustainable innovation into industrial upgrading.
