Ssangyong Motor Co., the South Korean unit of China's Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. (SAIC), said Tuesday that its vehicle sales sank 32.4 percent in June from a year earlier to 7,392 units.
During the last month, domestic sales plunged 67.5 percent to 1,902 units, while exports gained 8 percent to 5,490 units, Ssangyong Motor said in a statement.
Ssangyong Motor is a South Korean maker of sport utility vehicles (SUVs) including Rexton and Kyron. China's SAIC owns a 51.33 percent stake in Ssangyong.
