Suzuki to keep most Japan car plants closed until Tuesday

Gasgoo From Reuters

Reuters (Tokyo) - Suzuki Motor Corp. said on Friday it would keep its car production halted in Japan until March 29, while partially operating assembly of commercial vehicles at its Iwata plant after a massive earthquake disrupted parts supply.

It said it would continue to work one shift to produce motorcycle and engine factories as long as inventory lasts.

Plans for March 30 and beyond will be decided later, it said.
