Gasgoo Munich- Talls Intelligent Technology, a precision transmission component maker, recently announced it has closed a Series A round exceeding 100 million yuan.
Following the transaction, Talls Intelligent's valuation exceeded 1 billion yuan.
Founded in 2016 and based in Shenzhen, Talls Intelligent stands out as a representative player in China's micro precision reducer sector. Its core offering—the micro toroidal enveloping worm gear reducer—is viewed by the industry as a new precision transmission pathway, distinct from harmonic and RV reducers.

Unlike traditional single-tooth structures, Talls's design uses multi-tooth engagement. This reduces volume by approximately 40% compared to conventional solutions, achieves positioning accuracy of ±0.5 arcmin, and lasts over 10,000 hours. It also features a power-off self-locking mechanism, eliminating the need for extra brakes—making it particularly suited for high-precision transmission in tight spaces like humanoid robotic dexterous hands.
Commercially, Talls Intelligent early on entered the consumer electronics supply chains of Foxconn and Luxshare Precision, validating its tech through bulk industrial deliveries. Now, as humanoid robotics nears mass production, the company is rapidly pivoting into embodied intelligence. It has partnered with nearly 100 humanoid robot and dexterous hand firms, securing supply agreements for 100,000 joint modules.
Talls Intelligent currently operates a 20,000-square-meter base capable of producing 500,000 to 700,000 joint modules annually. This fresh capital will fund additional precision machining and testing equipment to boost delivery capacity. A new plant under construction is expected to increase annual output to 1 million to 1.5 million key modules upon completion.
Reducers represent a critical "choke point" in the robotics chain, a space long dominated by foreign technology. But the humanoid robot boom is extending upstream, sparking increased financing for component makers. Capital is shifting from finished product concepts to hard-tech supply chain links. Firms with proprietary mass production capabilities and bulk orders in hand are best positioned to benefit from the industrial trend, accelerating the domestic production of precision transmission in China.
