Of those, the AITO M8 contributed 150,000 deliveries, securing a firm foothold in the high-end new-energy sector. On the product front, AITO has built a comprehensive matrix in the 300,000 to 600,000 yuan price range anchored by three flagship models: the M9, M8, and M7. Technologically, the company has erected a full-stack self-developed moat centered on core capabilities like Huawei's Turing intelligent chassis, HarmonyOS cockpit, HUAWEI ADS, and advanced urban NCA. Against this backdrop, the refreshed AITO M8 officially launched on March 23, 2026. Inheriting the full suite of flagship technologies from the M9, the model quickly seized a core position in the 400,000-yuan "8-Series" SUV market upon debut.
The 400,000-yuan "large extended-range SUV" segment targeted by the AITO M8 has been a relatively stable growth track in recent years. The market for extended-range vehicles priced between 350,000 and 450,000 yuan approached 200,000 units in 2025 and is poised to challenge 300,000 units in 2026. As family users upgrade their dual demands for intelligent cockpits and advanced driver assistance, the core customer base is shifting toward quality-oriented families seeking both tech equity and a luxury feel. These buyers prioritize the deep integration of all-scenario smart experiences with ride comfort. Leveraging Huawei's full-stack ecosystem, the vehicle's market penetration is set to accelerate if a lower-spec version is introduced later to lower the entry barrier.

Inside the cabin, the AITO M8 features Huawei's HarmonyOS cockpit, equipped with a 15.6-inch 2K central control screen, a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster, and a 16-inch passenger entertainment screen, delivering a silky multi-device collaborative experience. Powered by the HarmonyOS 4.0 vehicle system, it supports features like Super Desktop, seamless flow, multi-zone voice interaction, and facial recognition. The model also debuts the Pangu large model to enable proactive, scenario-based services. Seats are wrapped in Nappa leather and offer heating, ventilation, and massage for both front and rear rows. Complemented by a HUAWEI SOUND 19-speaker audio system, it creates an immersive auditory experience. Up front, the luggage compartment offers 149 liters of flexible space, while the inclusion of an onboard fridge and a panoramic sunroof further elevates the quality and sense of occasion of family travel.
On the driver assistance front, the high-end variant is equipped with Huawei's Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 4.1 system. It boasts 36 external perception sensors—including one 896-line LiDAR, three solid-state LiDAR units, nine millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 11 high-definition cameras—achieving 360-degree full-range coverage. Huawei's self-developed navigation assist system enables full-scenario intelligent driving from parking spot to parking spot, autonomously handling complex environments. Its omni-directional anti-collision system provides active safety protection across front, side, and rear dimensions.

In terms of power, the vehicle is built on an 800V high-voltage platform and houses a 1.5T four-cylinder range-extender engine. The high-end version adopts a dual-motor four-wheel-drive layout with a combined output of 392 kW, accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds. It is equipped with a ternary lithium battery pack supplied by CATL, delivering a CLTC pure electric range of 310 kilometers and a comprehensive range of 1,526 kilometers. A fast charge from 30% to 80% takes just 15 minutes, effectively alleviating range anxiety for long-distance travel.
Regarding the chassis, the AITO M8 comes standard with Huawei's Turing intelligent chassis, featuring dual-chamber closed-type air suspension and CDC continuous variable damping shock absorbers. With five height adjustment levels, the road preview system adjusts suspension softness, height, and firmness in real-time based on road conditions, easily handling complex surfaces. The turning radius is a mere 5.9 meters, significantly improving the handling flexibility and low-speed maneuverability of a large SUV. Additionally, its emergency wading depth reaches 700 mm, demonstrating excellent safety performance in water.
