Extreme fuel savings stem from a relentless climb in thermal efficiency. Geely has pursued independent R&D since its Power 1.0 era, delivering year-over-year leaps. In 2021, 43.32% set a global standard; the BHE15 platform pushed that to 46.5%; and last year, full-domain AI integration hit 47.26%. This year, Geely’s upgraded "Wind-Ride Tornado" combustion system optimized fuel-air mixing and combustion control to break the ceiling again. Certified at 48.41%, it remains the world leader.
From the early days of localization in Power 1.0 to the arrival of the 5.0 smart hybrid era, Horse Powertrain has been deeply involved in the R&D and production of every Geely powertrain generation. It provided end-to-end support in combustion systems, energy management, and manufacturing processes. Thanks to that ultra-high efficiency, the i-HEV system achieves ultra-low fuel consumption of 3 liters per 100 kilometers alongside a 20% power boost—truly balancing fuel economy with performance.
