Toyota Motor Corp., Japan’s biggest carmaker, expects [its] sales in China to rise 14 percent next year as it introduces new models in the world’s fastest-growing major automobile market.
Sales may climb to about 800,000 vehicles in 2010, said spokesman Yuta Kaga, confirming a Wall Street Journal report.
Toyota plans to introduce a revamped Crown sedan in China at the end of this year and a Camry hybrid and new Prius hybrid next year, Kaga said. Growth may slow from an expected 19 percent increase this year.
