Toyota to introduce new entry-level sedan to China

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai August 1) - Reports in the media have been circulating recently regarding a new entry-level sedan that Toyota is planning to introduce to China. The new vehicle is expected to come to the country in 2013 and be priced under 1 million yen ($12,960), autohome.com.cn reported today.

According to speculation, the new car is none other than the Etios (pictured) currently sold in India. However, Chinese consumer requirements call for a slightly larger vehicle with around a 1.5 L engine. The new vehicle looks to be targeted towards second-tier and third-tier cities.
