Toyota Motor Corp said on Thursday it would unveil a concept model of the long-awaited compact car code-named EFC (Entry Family Car), in India next month.
The car, under development for production and sale in India and Brazil for starters, will debut at the Delhi auto show on January 5, the world's biggest automaker said in a statement.
Toyota has said it plans to begin production of the car, expected to cost well under $10,000, at a new Indian factory from late 2010. Production in Brazil is due to start in 2011 at the earliest.
