NAGOYA — The labor union of Toyota Motor Corp on Tuesday decided to demand the company raise employees' base wages by an average 1,500 yen a month during this year's wage negotiation sessions with the management in spring, union officials said.
It will be the third straight year of wage hike demands and the amount of increase eyed is the same as that sought last year. The union will formally decide on the demand in early February, they said.
