In intelligent driving, Valeo is displaying its VSS360 smart safety system. Built on a unified single-box architecture, it covers L1 and L2 assisted driving and supports L2+ highway Navigate on Autopilot (NOA). The company's SCALA 3 LiDAR, targeting L3 and L4 autonomy, detects obstacles beyond 200 meters and supports self-driving applications at speeds up to 130 km/h.
On the software front, Valeo introduced its anSWer platform, which integrates road-proven applications, middleware, and cloud-based digital twin validation to help automakers shrink development and testing cycles. CEO Christophe Périllat noted that by leveraging AI and software, Valeo has already compressed certain development timelines down to a matter of months.
Electrification is another key focus. Valeo is bringing an 800V integrated electric platform, silicon-carbide inverters, bidirectional AC chargers, and a new thermal management system. Its single-fluid cooling setup reportedly enables a 0-to-80% charge in 12 minutes while cutting the battery's carbon footprint by 50% — though actual performance will depend on the specific battery system and operating conditions.
Elsewhere on the stand, Valeo showcased 1.3-megapixel high-definition lighting, the AquaBlade wiper system, a panoramic head-up display, and the Racer XR in-car immersive gaming platform. The supplier also outlined its remanufacturing operations for automotive electronic components.
The lineup underscores Valeo's push to tighten integration across software, intelligent driving, and electrification systems. As automakers accelerate upgrades to their electrical and electronic architectures, competition among traditional suppliers is shifting — from raw hardware performance to system integration, software development speed, and scaled delivery capabilities.
