As Volvo Cars's headline launch this year, the all-new XC70 contributed 4,988 sales in December, keeping the top spot on the brand's monthly leaderboard. Since its October debut, the model has sold 14,199 vehicles in three months, underscoring its competitiveness in the luxury hybrid segment.

Notably, the all-new XC70 and the long-running XC60 have formed a powerful one-two punch — a "Twin-Star" pairing in Volvo Cars's words. Company data show that from October to December, their combined sales climbed from 8,071 to 14,659, leading the luxury mid-size and large SUV market for three straight months. Breaking it down, the XC60 logged 9,671 sales in December, while the XC70, after peaking at 5,354 in November, eased to 4,988 in December but stayed elevated.

The duo's success has also pushed Volvo Cars's electrification strategy forward. Powered by the XC70's strong showing, new-energy vehicles (NEVs) accounted for 34.7% of Volvo Cars's fourth-quarter sales in China, signaling solid progress in its shift to electrification. A steady year-end finish capped Volvo Cars's 2025 performance in the market.
