Gasgoo Munich- On March 10, Dongfeng Motor revealed that road tests for the Voyah Dreamer's Level 3 conditional autonomous driving system have been spotted. As one of the first MPVs in China to secure L3 testing qualifications, the Dreamer has been approved for testing at speeds up to 100 km/h — covering the legal speed limit on the vast majority of the country's highways.

Meanwhile, Dongfeng officials confirmed that a new Dongfeng Voyah model slated for the second half of 2026 — codenamed "Everest" — will be the world's first MPV built on an L3 autonomous driving architecture. The move aims to accelerate the shift of L3 conditional autonomous driving from technical testing to commercial reality.
The name "Everest" signals a bid for the peak of the global high-end intelligent MPV market. Positioned as the "strongest luxury MPV in the 500,000 yuan class," the Everest will debut 12 cutting-edge technologies globally, aiming to deliver the highest emotional value in its segment. Its official arrival in the second half will further flesh out Dongfeng Voyah's premium MPV lineup.
Notably, 2026 is shaping up to be a "major product year" for Dongfeng Voyah. On March 10, the Dreamer celebrated its 200,000th unit rolling off the assembly line, marking a new milestone in the model's market expansion and production capacity.
That same day, the Voyah Dreamer Champion Edition officially hit the market with a starting price of 309,900 yuan. As the new entry-level variant in the family, it will be released in limited quantities.
Visually, the Champion Edition retains the dimensions of the current model: 5,315 mm long, 1,998 mm wide, and 1,820 mm tall, with a 3,200 mm wheelbase. It features a "Glossy Black" grille for a younger, more fashionable look that fits both business and family use.
On the tech front, the new model comes equipped with the Harmony Cockpit 5 and Huawei's ADS 4 driver assistance system. Powered by a 192-line lidar and three 4D millimeter-wave radars, it enables full-scene assisted driving across city streets, highways, and parking scenarios.
Under the hood, the Champion Edition features a plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5T engine with dual motors, paired with a 41.7 kWh battery that delivers a CLTC pure electric range of 235 km. The all-wheel-drive system churns out 420 kW of power, propelling the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The chassis employs front double wishbone and rear five-link suspension along with intelligent electric AWD.
