Gasgoo Munich- Voyah announced on March 5 that the Ultra and Black Knight editions of its flagship Taishan large six-seat SUV will officially launch on March 17, with deliveries beginning immediately.
The new models debut a next-generation dual-optical-path, image-grade 896-line LiDAR system—featuring four units—marking the brand's entry into the four-LiDAR era. They also come equipped with three-chamber air suspension and rear-wheel steering, while Level 3 autonomous driving capabilities have already undergone extensive real-world verification.
A standout feature, this LiDAR system represents one of the highest-specification perception hardware units currently in mass production globally. It delivers ultra-high-definition imaging, extended-range detection, and precision recognition, capable of spotting distant obstacles and small road debris early. Crucially, it maintains stable perception in rain, fog, and at night, laying the hardware foundation for advanced driver-assistance systems.

On the chassis and handling front, both models feature three-chamber air suspension with EDC "Magic Carpet" functionality to quickly anticipate and filter road bumps for a smoother ride. They also boast a bi-directional 16-degree rear-wheel steering system, giving this full-size SUV a turning radius of just 5.4 meters—greatly enhancing agility in city traffic and parking. The Black Knight Edition adds exclusive exterior and interior customizations on top of this.
Regarding autonomous driving validation, the Voyah Taishan has secured a Level 3 road testing license. The system has completed 110,000 kilometers of real-world testing and 900,000 kilometers of simulation, covering scenarios like city congestion, narrow alleys, and severe weather. Verification for Level 3 capabilities is now in its final stages, with rollout planned in phases pending regulatory approval.
By combining robust hardware with rigorous testing, Voyah is pushing the intelligent evolution of its flagship lineup. With the official launch and delivery set for March 17, the Taishan aims to expand choices in the premium large six-seat SUV market. All eyes will now be on how its high-level autonomous driving and comfort features perform in the real world.
