Voyah Taishan X8 Orders Break 20,000 in 20 Hours of Pre-sales

Gasgoo Munich- Voyah’s new Taishan X8 racked up more than 20,000 orders within 20 hours of opening pre-sales on April 23, according to industry reports. Priced between 302,900 and 389,900 yuan, the five-seat mid-to-large SUV marks the company’s first strategic model launch since its Hong Kong listing, with a formal market debut slated for May 2026.

In terms of pricing and positioning, the Taishan X8 enters the fiercely contested family SUV segment between 300,000 and 400,000 yuan—a space already crowded with rivals like the Li Auto L7 and AITO M7. Rather than pursuing the six- or seven-seat layout favored by competitors, Voyah is differentiating itself with a "large five-seater" designed for upgraded family travel needs.

On the specification front, the Taishan X8 focuses on cabin experience and intelligence. The vehicle debuts with HarmonyOS Cockpit 5.2 and Huawei’s 15.6-inch dual screens, offering a cabin space of 6.1 square meters. It also features second-row dual zero-gravity seats with mechanical massage and a one-touch reclining mode that converts the space into a bed.

For intelligent driving, the model adopts Huawei’s Qiankun solution, equipped with four LiDAR units—including 896-line dual optical path image-grade sensors. The chassis utilizes a three-chamber air suspension paired with EDC "magic carpet" technology.

Securing over 20,000 orders in just 20 hours places the Taishan X8 among the stronger performers for new model debuts, signaling initial market approval of its configuration mix and pricing strategy.

The launch of the Taishan X8 signals that Voyah is accelerating its product lineup expansion following its Hong Kong listing. With multiple features deeply integrated with Huawei’s ecosystem, the car has carved out a technological edge in both smart cockpits and autonomous driving.

Yet, in the white-hot 300,000 to 400,000 yuan price bracket, whether Voyah can sustain market share against entrenched rivals like Li Auto and AITO remains to be seen—and will ultimately depend on actual sales figures after the official launch.
