WAIC 2026 | OYMotion Unveils Three New BCI and EMG Devices

Edited by Greg From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich-The 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) kicked off in Shanghai on July 17. According to Gasgoo, OYMotion took the stage in Hall N5 to unveil three new consumer and professional-grade devices: the CeRelax EEG headband, the gForce Ultra EMG wristband, and a lower-limb smart rehabilitation exoskeleton.

The exoskeleton leverages inertial sensing technology for a "wear-and-play" experience that requires no EMG signals. By identifying intent in milliseconds, it assists the hip joint—designed primarily for rehabilitation and outdoor mobility. Meanwhile, the gForce Ultra wristband focuses on data acquisition, capturing subtle muscle contractions to generate motion datasets that help robots mimic human operations. Rounding out the lineup, the CeRelax headband offers synchronized EEG and ECG monitoring. Targeting both research and consumer markets, it addresses needs such as insomnia intervention and focus training.

Zhang Qi, vice president at OYMotion, told the crowd that the industry’s focus is shifting from form factors to functional substance. "Both decision-making capability—the brain—and execution capability—the end-effector—are essential," he noted. OYMotion combines brain-computer interfaces for intent capture and EMG devices for data accumulation, alongside self-developed motors and hardware. This creates a closed technological loop spanning from "perceiving intent" to "executing action."

Also on the same day, OYMotion launched a suite of embodied AI education products for vocational colleges. The lineup features "white-box" training benches equipped with modular components like dexterous hands and dual-arm robots, along with over 20 experimental projects, complete with textbooks and development toolchains. The company plans to cultivate more than 10,000 practical engineers within three years through a specialized talent program.

From rehabilitation exoskeletons to educational training platforms, OYMotion is turning cross-disciplinary brain-muscle-machine technology into practical tools. As embodied AI transitions from concept to industrialization, this approach—prioritizing real functionality while balancing data and hardware—could offer the industry a pragmatic model for commercialization.
