Gasgoo Munich- UNIUBI AI took the stage at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026) to showcase "Lingmao," a fully self-developed quadruped robot. The display is running simultaneously across two venues: the West Bund International Convention and Exhibition Center and the World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.
Several "Lingmao" units delivered seven high-dynamic demonstrations, including the world’s first continuous 720° backflip, a high-payload display with a 1.3:1 load-to-weight ratio, and a synchronized multi-robot dance. These performances highlighted the latest breakthroughs in motion control, dynamic performance, real-time coordination, and overall system capability for quadruped robots.
Designed as a futuristic cyber robotic pet, "Lingmao" is powered by the high-computing NVIDIA Orin platform, giving it robust edge intelligence. It rides on a high-performance motion chassis that ensures stable movement in complex environments. Furthermore, standard ROS interfaces allow the robot to support a complete, scalable system of capabilities.
Previously released information indicates the flagship "Lingmao" EDU version starts at 11,999 yuan.

Yet, the real story lies in the technical prowess driving these impressive maneuvers.
The continuous 720° backflip is more than just adding extra rotations; it requires completing two high-speed spins within nearly the same airborne duration while precisely controlling posture, trajectory, and landing point. This demands superior instantaneous explosive power, faster joint response, precise motion planning, and stable dynamic balance—placing extreme demands on the hardware, control algorithms, and motion systems.
Meanwhile, "Lingmao" demonstrated the ability to carry loads 1.3 times its own weight. This feat underscores the combined strength of its power system, structural design, and motion control, signaling that the robot is ready for real-world applications like logistics delivery, industrial inspection, and emergency rescue. It marks a shift from simply "moving" to effectively "working."
Beyond the performance showcase, UNIUBI AI also unveiled the "Lingmao" Creator edition, tailored specifically for research institutions, universities, and developers.
The Creator edition offers full support for the ROS 2 ecosystem, with open development interfaces for Python and C++, as well as SDK access. It provides visibility into underlying data streams, supporting algorithm development, model training, robot control, and various secondary developments—helping researchers and developers conduct verification and product innovation more efficiently.
