Gasgoo Munich- On April 24, WEY unveiled its new AI-powered luxury six-seater flagship, the V9X, at Auto China 2026.

At the launch, WEY CEO Zhao Yongpo outlined a global roadmap: the new model will arrive in Eurasia, the Middle East, and other overseas markets within the year. The goal, he said, is to "compete directly with traditional million-yuan luxury vehicles." "True luxury isn't about taking sides in a single market," he added. "It is about diverse choices on a global stage."

By February, WEY's global user base had surpassed 700,000, with the average transaction price remaining steady in the 300,000 yuan range. The WEY Lanshan has already accumulated over 110,000 sales, ranking first in quality in the mid-size plug-in hybrid SUV segment for two consecutive years, according to J.D. Power. Meanwhile, the WEY Gaoshan has led domestic MPV sales rankings for seven months, while also demonstrating the quality of Chinese MPVs in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

The V9X comes in standard (5,205 mm) and long-wheelbase (5,299 mm) versions, with options for pure electric, plug-in hybrid, and hybrid powertrains. The 2.0T Super Hi4 hybrid architecture features a 4-speed dedicated hybrid transmission, an 800V high-voltage platform, and 6C supercharging. It is the world's only solution to integrate these four technologies in a single hybrid system.

With a 192 mm aisle between the second and third rows, the cabin can still accommodate five 20-inch suitcases even with six passengers on board. The 3,150 mm wheelbase achieves a space utilization rate of 70.2%. Details include 22-point zero-gravity seats with legrest massage and 48 storage spaces, alongside hardware and software encryption to protect user data.

Regarding intelligence, the vehicle features a native AI cockpit and driving agent. The cabin system supports facial recognition, memory functions, and context awareness, while the driving system uses Chain of Thought (CoT) reasoning to enable defensive driving predictions and voice control. For safety, high-strength steel, magnesium alloy, and aluminum make up 88% of the body structure, with peak strength reaching 2,200 MPa. Active safety features include an industry-first stability control system for dual-tire blowouts at speeds up to 160 km/h.

Also on display, the Guiyuan S platform supports five powertrain types: plug-in hybrid, hybrid, pure electric, internal combustion, and hydrogen. Its hardware is modularized into over 300 standardized units, allowing flexible deployment across models and seamless coordination between powertrains. Great Wall Motor said the Guiyuan platform will drive an industrial transformation of "building cars on demand," focusing technology on its essence and delivering value directly to users.
