Gasgoo Munich- On January 28, Great Wall Motor Chairman Wei Jianjun officially unveiled the name of the brand's new flagship SUV: the V9X. Positioned as an AI-powered luxury six-seater, the vehicle is built on the "Guiyuan S"—the first premium technology sequence of GWM's new Guiyuan platform—packing the automaker's most cutting-edge innovations. "This car truly stands tall for the people of Baoding," Wei remarked.

Footage reveals a design that blends muscularity with technology. The front features a boxy, upright silhouette equipped with a LiDAR sensor, while a robust fascia houses full-width lighting at both ends. Vertical turn signals are embedded in the front bumper, flanking a wide trapezoidal air intake and an active grille system, while the rear boasts C-shaped taillights.

Earlier this month, Great Wall Motor introduced its next-generation platform: Guiyuan. This flexible architecture enables a "one-vehicle, multiple-powertrain" approach across various categories, configurations, and markets, catering to diverse global demands. The platform supports five distinct powertrain forms: plug-in hybrid, electric hybrid, battery-electric, efficient internal combustion, and hydrogen fuel cell.

Bolstered by the Guiyuan platform, the Hi-4 technology has evolved to support front and rear dual motors, a hybrid coupling system, and multiple gears. Key specifications include a 4-speed hybrid transmission, a 2.0T high-efficiency hybrid engine, an 800V high-voltage electrical architecture, a high-energy-density battery pack, and a 270kW high-performance silicon carbide motor. Additionally, the automaker announced plans to launch a revolutionary diesel hybrid technology.

On the hardware front, the platform breaks the vehicle structure down into 49 core modules and 329 shared components, allowing for free combination and high extensibility through standardized interfaces. Built on Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), it has accumulated over 2,000 standardized "atomic capability" service tags. Through native AI intelligent scheduling, the vehicle can flexibly adapt to different scenarios—leading Great Wall to define the Guiyuan platform as the world's first native AI full-powertrain automotive platform.
