As of January 27, NIO Power operated 8,596 charging and swapping stations in total, with cumulative swaps reaching 99,063,908. The network includes 3,708 swap stations—1,017 of them situated along highways—and 4,887 charging stations, having delivered 80,218,759 charging sessions to date.

Speaking at a ceremony earlier this month marking the rollout of NIO's 1 millionth vehicle, Li outlined the company's path forward. "We will continue to invest heavily in our 12 full-stack technologies to maintain our lead in products and tech," he said. "We are committed to infrastructure, aiming for more than 10,000 charging and swapping stations each by 2030. We will deepen synergy across our three brands to boost market share in every segment and sustain 40% to 50% annual growth. We will deepen our roots in China while expanding globally in a more steady and efficient way, bringing a premium smart electric mobility experience to users worldwide."

Additionally, construction of NIO's fifth-generation swap stations is set to begin this year. Designed to be compatible with NIO, Onvo, and Firefly vehicles, the company aims to build at least 1,000 of these units by 2026.

NIO has poured 65 billion yuan into R&D, building systemic capabilities around 12 core smart EV technologies, while investing another 18 billion yuan in its charging and swapping infrastructure.

Beyond its proprietary network, NIO is forging partnerships across the industry. It has established charging interoperability with a roster of brands that includes ZEEKR, Xiaomi EV, Avatr, Chery, Dongfeng M-Hero, Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, Hongqi, Deepal, AION, IM Motors, Lotus, Cadillac, Buick, and XPENG.
