As the only six-seater all-electric SUV priced around 250,000 yuan ($36,805) in China, the new model is expected to attract consumers with its 2+2+2 seat layout, smart gaze-controlled system, the CleanPro healthy cockpit and intelligent car control App, said WM Motor.
Viewers coming to WM Motor's exhibition stand will be able to experience the all-new WMConnect smart digital cockpit and 5G-enabled smart connected system jointly developed with Qualcomm, and the mobility terminal featuring Level 4 autonomous driving technologies co-developed with Baidu.
According to the EV manufacturer, the WMConnect smart digital cockpit adopts the 7-nanometer 3rd-generation Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ Automotive Cockpit Platforms and introduces the NPU (network processing unit) with self-learning capacity, making the vehicle learn and evolve like human.
Besides, WM Motor will unveil the cockpit design of the mass-produced Maven concept sedan. The WM EX5-Z, the startup’s heavyweight model hitting the market in May, will head for the motor show as well.
WM Motor announced on September 22 the completion of its Series D round financing, which raised 10 billion yuan ($1,472,862,000) in total, the highest-ever amount for a single round of fundraising launched by EV startups.
The proceeds from the financing will be primarily used for the R&D of intelligent technologies, brand construction, digital marketing and sales channel expansion.
The D round is likely to be the last round of financing before WM Motor going public in 2021, said a source briefed on the company's matter.
