World's First Transformable Personal Humanoid Robot Officially Launched!

Edited by Taylor From Gasgoo

Gasgoo Munich-PrimeBOT has officially launched the world's first transformable personal robot, the "Qiyuan T1." Built on a single chassis, the unit autonomously recognizes and switches between quadruped and wheel-foot humanoid forms without human intervention—designed to bridge the mobility and interaction gap between complex outdoor terrain and indoor home environments.

Outdoors, the T1 adopts a quadruped stance to traverse uneven surfaces like grass, gravel, slopes, and stairs, ensuring stability for following, accompaniment, and load-carrying tasks. Once indoors, it automatically transitions to a wheel-foot humanoid configuration. Leveraging silent wheel drive and a zero turning radius, it navigates tight spaces with agility, while a flexible force-control system enables natural, human-centric interactions such as touching and holding hands. Throughout the transformation, movement, following, and interaction remain continuous, requiring no system restarts or resets.

Technically, the T1 runs on a Transformer-based cross-morph architecture. From structure and joints to power and perception modules, every component is designed for dual-morph reuse, featuring a flip camera, a 45° tilted interaction screen, and a multi-microphone array. Its cross-morph locomotion base model uses a unified control framework to manage balance, movement, and posture in both forms, ensuring continuity and reliability during the switch.

On the application front, the T1 integrates deeply with action cameras. It supports voice-command shooting, follow-capture, and trajectory-based camera movement. The robot actively adjusts its position to synchronize its motion path with the camera's perspective, delivering a new intelligent follow-shooting solution for content creation.

The Qiyuan T1 is scheduled for a public showcase at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), opening July 17. Pricing and specific launch dates have not yet been disclosed, though PrimeBOT indicated it will release more commercial details later.
