Beijing (Gasgoo)- On Jan. 7, 2026, Xiaomi EV officially announced the first refresh of its flagship sedan, the SU7. Pre-orders for the next-generation Xiaomi SU7 are now open, with a pre-sale price starting at 229,900 yuan, and the car is expected to go on sale in April 2026.

The refresh brings across-the-board upgrades to styling, features, performance and safety. Externally, while it retains the brand’s signature design language, the car adds a new "Capri Blue" paint option and adopts newly designed 20-inch wheels.

Core performance sees a clear step up in power and range. The new SU7 comes in Standard, Pro and Max trims. The Standard and Pro use a 752V silicon-carbide high-voltage platform, while the Max moves to a more advanced 897V architecture. On range, the Pro delivers up to 902 km of CLTC combined range; the Max, in normal ambient temperatures and using the company’s own chargers, can add up to 670 km of CLTC range in just 15 minutes.

Intelligence and safety are another focus of the upgrade. The new SU7 carries a full suite of assisted-driving hardware across the lineup, including lidar, 4D millimeter-wave radar and up to 700 TOPS of compute to support advanced driver-assistance features. For passive safety, all variants come with 9 airbags (including newly added rear side airbags) and an integrated roll-cage structure built with 2,200 MPa ultra-high-strength steel.

Inside, the car introduces a new "Night Black" interior theme and redesigns details around the center console, steering wheel and seats. For ride and handling, the Pro and Max come standard with a closed dual-chamber air-spring system and CDC variable-damping shock absorbers.

From the start of deliveries in April 2024 through the end of 2025, the current Xiaomi SU7 has delivered more than 360,000 units over roughly 21 months. Starting today, buyers can reserve the new-generation model via the Xiaomi EV app with a 1,000 yuan deposit.
