Earlier, on May 21, the company unveiled a comprehensive upgrade to the YU7 series, introducing both a standard version and the high-performance YU7 GT flagship. Priced at 389,900 yuan, the GT variant features Xiaomi’s latest-generation electric powertrain technology and master-tuned chassis, with an optional professional track package available.

Visually, the YU7 GT gets a sportier makeover with 295mm rear tires, an integrated front splitter, and an active rear diffuser, all while retaining the family’s signature cross-shaped headlights and halo taillights. Buyers can choose from five finishes: Cherry Red, Obsidian Black, Titanium, Pearl White, and Volcanic Gray. Optional 21-inch two-piece forged wheels are available to sharpen both looks and handling. The model also features exclusive touches like a 24K gold carbon fiber badge and carbon fiber side mirrors.

Under the skin, the YU7 GT employs the "Jiaolong" Master Chassis. It features dual-valve CDC dampers, a closed-chamber dual-air suspension with 75mm of adjustment range, and a racing-derived eLSD that actively distributes torque across the rear axle in milliseconds. The braking hardware, shared with the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, utilizes Akebono six-piston front calipers and the largest carbon-ceramic rotors in its class, delivering a 100–0 km/h stopping distance of just 32.9 meters.

Tuned over two years with input from experts at Xiaomi’s European R&D center, the car has proven its pace on track. At the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the YU7 GT—fitted with the track package—clocked a 7:22.755 lap, shattering the existing SUV class record by 14 seconds. In a direct corner-by-corner comparison against the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, the YU7 GT claimed victory in 32 segments, lost 17, and tied one.
