Regarding the model mix, the YU7 all-electric mid-to-large SUV was the primary driver this month. Cumulative deliveries surpassed 150,000 units six months after launch, more than double the SU7's performance over the same period. Priced around 250,000 yuan with balanced specifications, the YU7 has become a key growth driver. The SU7 is undergoing a refresh, with production lines currently being optimized. Xiaomi founder Lei Jun has signaled the arrival of the updated SU7, so production resources are currently prioritizing the YU7.

The month-on-month decline reflects industry headwinds and holiday factors. The NEV purchase tax exemption expired at the end of 2025, triggering a year-end sales rush. This front-loaded demand that would have fallen in January. Compounding this, automakers gradually halted production and slowed shipments after Jan. 20 ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday on Jan. 28, reducing logistics efficiency. However, compared with the broader decline in NEV retail sales in January, Xiaomi EV's drop was milder, demonstrating strong market resilience.

Xiaomi EV has set a 2026 full-year delivery target of 550,000 units. Capacity at its Beijing plant has stabilized above 40,000 units per month. The next-generation SU7 opened pre-orders on Jan. 7 with a starting price of 229,900 yuan. It features standard lidar and a long-range architecture, with an official launch slated for April. Combined with the YU7's popularity, this should support achieving the annual goal. Xiaomi EV is accelerating its offline expansion. By the end of January 2026, its service network covered 159 cities with 270 outlets, while sales stores reached 484 locations in 139 cities.
