Lei Jun outlined two major milestones for the company that day. First, he and his executive team distributed opening-day red envelopes to employees. Second, he unveiled the SU7's new color. Confident the refreshed model remains a "Dream Car," he predicted it would deliver a strong start to the year for Xiaomi.

Channel deployment for the next-generation SU7 is progressing steadily. The first batch of demo vehicles arrived at stores on Feb. 13, covering 30 locations across seven cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. Beijing and Shanghai host five stores each, while Guangzhou and Shenzhen have four apiece. A second wave of 30 stores is set to open gradually starting Feb. 25, offering consumers a closer look. The new model will officially launch in April 2026.

Xiaomi has previously detailed three trim levels for the facelifted SU7, with pre-sale prices ranging from 229,900 to 309,900 yuan. This represents an increase of roughly 10,000 to 14,000 yuan over similarly equipped current models, though the company has not yet confirmed final pricing.

Based on released specifications, the updated model features upgrades across exterior design, interior features, intelligent driving, and safety. Visually, the front grille has been optimized, and a new "Capri Blue" paint option joins the existing "Gulf Blue." The wheels are now a new 20-inch design, paired with tires sized 245mm at the front and 265mm at the rear—the wider rear tread improving grip. Braking hardware is enhanced: all trims now feature front four-piston fixed calipers, while the Max version upgrades to Brembo calipers, drilled discs, and low-metallic brake pads.

Inside, the facelift adds a "Midnight Black" option to the existing "Obsidian Black." The steering wheel has been reshaped, and stitching details on the console, door panels, and seats have been refined. Soft-touch materials cover more surface area, complemented by a wraparound, three-tier ambient lighting system. Physical buttons on the center console have also been updated.

On the intelligent driving front, LiDAR is now standard across the entire lineup—addressing the previous absence of this hardware and lower computing power on the entry-level trim. The driving-assist chip now delivers 700 TOPS of computing power, and all models come equipped with the Xiaomi HAD advanced driver-assistance system.

Safety equipment has been bolstered, with nine airbags now standard—an increase of two over the current model. The body retains its "armor cage" steel-aluminum hybrid structure, featuring 2,200 MPa hot-formed steel in door anti-collision beams. An integrated anti-roll bar is also standard across the range.
