Gasgoo Munich-On March 18, Gasgoo learned that Xiaomi EV has made a breakthrough in driver-assistance technology. This upgrade marks the first time Xiaomi HAD has bridged the gap between driver assistance and embodied robotics. By introducing multimodal inputs and integrating Xiaomi's self-developed MiMo-Embodied foundation model, the system can better learn and understand complex scenarios. In his blog, Lei Jun noted that the company's intelligent driving team has released three major versions of the HAD system over the past two years—a pace of iteration that achieved in two years what took many competitors five, or even ten, years to traverse.
The new SU7 is set to officially launch on March 19. Lei Jun previously described the model as the result of two years of refinement built on the first generation, with improvements across safety, handling, intelligent features, and luxury appointments. He stated that many users expect the SU7 to become an enduring success, and the new generation is ready to meet that challenge.
Beyond the driver-assistance upgrade, Xiaomi EV has revealed additional details. Lei Jun announced via social media that the company has developed a high-performance smart chassis system specifically for drivers, named the “Jiaolong Chassis,” which will debut on the new SU7. Additionally, Xiaomi EV officially named track and field athlete Su Bingtian as its brand ambassador.
Based on released product information, the new SU7 features multiple upgrades in exterior, interior, intelligent driving, and safety. On the exterior, the front bumper grille design has been optimized, and a Capri Blue paint option joins the existing Gulf Blue. The wheels are upgraded to a new 20-inch style, with tire specifications adjusted to 245mm front and 265mm rear—the wider rear tread enhancing grip. For braking, all models are equipped with front four-piston fixed calipers as standard, while the Max version is equipped with Brembo calipers, drilled rotors, and low-metal brake pads.
