XPENG adopts a new Chinese name

Gasgoo Munich- On March 27, XPENG Inc. (HKEX: 9868) announced that, effective April 1, 2026, its Chinese name will formally change. The company's English name, XPENG Inc., remains unchanged.

Concurrently, the Chinese short name for its Class A ordinary shares traded on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong will shift to "XPENG Group – W" from "XPENG Auto – W." The English short name "XPENG – W" and stock code "9868" will stay the same. This rebranding carries no impact on shareholder rights, and there is no need to surrender existing shares nor any exchange arrangements.

"From XPENG Auto to XPENG Group—twelve years, a full cycle, and a brand new starting point," said He Xiaopeng, Chairman and CEO. "Our journey began with smart electric vehicles, but it has expanded to flying cars, Turing AI chips, VLA autonomous driving models, the IRON humanoid robot, and Robotaxi.
