Regarding safety, the G9L inherits the flagship capabilities of the XPENG GX. It features standard aviation-grade safety redundancy design. The GX previously completed the world's first "Water-Land-Air 720-Degree Seven-Fold Safety" challenge. The G9L is built to withstand the same rigorous tests. As a global model, it meets five-star safety standards from four major global authorities.
For comfort, the G9L features "all-body AI active fitting seat technology." The seats include 91 pressure sensors capable of detecting weight changes as small as 2 grams. With one touch, they automatically adjust to posture changes, suiting different body types.
The G9L set the fastest moose test record in its class. Its chassis and handling performance are robust. The entire lineup is equipped with dual-chamber air suspension and a rear-wheel steering system.
Public specifications show the XPENG G9L measures 5,120 mm long, 1,999 mm wide, and 1,782 mm tall, with a 3,100 mm wheelbase. This represents a 229 mm increase over the current G9. The model maintains a large five-seat layout. XPENG offers both pure electric and extended-range powertrains for the first time. The pure electric version uses a 91.9 kWh or 110 kWh battery. It delivers a CLTC range of up to 805 km and 430 kW of system power in the four-wheel-drive variant. The extended-range version combines a 1.5T range extender with a 63.3 kWh LFP battery. It offers a WLTC pure electric range of 350 km. The new model is expected to launch in the third quarter.
