YAPP's first Brazilian facility opened in Gravataí in September 2019. It supplies fuel tanks to General Motors' local assembly base. With the second plant coming online seven years later, the two sites are expected to create synergies. They will strengthen local supply security and customer service. This paves the way for further expansion of overseas market share.
At an earnings briefing on September 28, YAPP reported its results for the first half of 2026. Revenue edged up 0.59% year-on-year to 4.371 billion yuan. Net profit rose 1.91% to 293 million yuan. The company has elevated its "strong overseas" strategy to a core priority. This transforms its international business from a key growth driver into a stabilizer. The move offsets domestic market volatility.
Globally, the transition to new energy vehicles shows significant regional divergence. Rapid NEV adoption in China pressures traditional fuel system businesses. However, markets in South America, North America, and Russia face constraints. Limited by infrastructure and industrial policies, they are expected to keep internal combustion and hybrid models mainstream. This trend will persist in the medium to long term. As South America's leading car producer and consumer, Brazil offers ample room for fuel and hybrid system products.
YAPP plans to bolster its core Chinese management and technical teams in Brazil. It will roll out mature management systems, quality standards, and manufacturing expertise overseas. To date, the company has established 10 overseas production bases and four engineering technology centers. These cover the world's major automotive markets.
