According to Wang Junjun, the Yijing X9 boasts a flagship body size with a length of 5.3 meters and a wheelbase of 3.1 meters. The new vehicle will be among the first to feature Huawei's latest full-stack intelligent solutions, including the next-generation Qiankun intelligent driving system, a new HarmonyOS cockpit, and an 896-line dual-beam image-grade LiDAR. Initiated in 2024, the project has spanned roughly three years with an investment of 10 billion yuan, developed jointly by Dongfeng and Huawei teams.
The Yijing brand operates differently from Huawei's previous Harmony lntelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) model. The partnership relies on joint definition, joint development, and co-location. Huawei is opening its product development and operational capabilities to Yijing, providing end-to-end support ranging from product definition, design, and R&D to supply chain management and manufacturing.
Furthermore, Huawei will transfer its IPD and IPMS operational mechanisms, full-process quality control standards, and global supply chain management expertise to Yijing. The vehicle will also feature a full suite of technologies, including Qiankun vehicle control, in-vehicle optics, and vehicle cloud services.
Looking back, Yijing was officially unveiled on November 20 of last year at the Huawei Qiankun Ecosystem Conference. Positioned for the high-quality family market, it marks the first product of deep collaboration between a central state-owned enterprise — Dongfeng — and Huawei. Just one month after the brand's launch, the first engineering prototype rolled off the assembly line.
According to the roadmap, Yijing's first model is slated to debut at the Auto China in April 2026, hitting the market later that year. Moving forward, the brand plans to launch at least one new model annually to gradually flesh out its product portfolio.
