Key Takeaways
·The partners plan to connect vehicle, battery-swap station and cloud systems, allowing charging needs to be forecast and services dispatched using real-time battery data and users' travel patterns.
·The proposed system would enable vehicles to identify when energy replenishment is needed, find and enter a station, align automatically, complete a battery swap in 99 seconds and leave without driver intervention.
·Yinwang has joined CATL's Choco-Swap ecosystem and will work with partners to adapt participating vehicle models for access to the battery-swap network.
·CATL's Choco-Swap network had 2,520 stations across 200 Chinese cities as of September 29. The company plans to expand the network to 30,000 stations and connect its urban and highway coverage.
