Gasgoo Munich- Zhuoyu Technology ("ZYT") officially launched its commercial vehicle technology brand, ZYT Prax Drive System ("Zhuoyu Panxing"), in Zhuhai on Oct. 29. The company detailed its progress with seven partners—including XCMG, Shaanxi Automobile Group, Sinotruk, FAW Jiefang, Foton, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle, and Yutong—spanning heavy-duty trucks, buses, and light trucks.

The Shaanxi Delong X5000, equipped with ZYT Prax Drive System PDS 4, entered mass production back in June, with hundreds of units already running on express delivery routes. Looking ahead, XCMG's Hanjing electric heavy truck is slated for delivery by year's end. Meanwhile, Sinotruk's Sitrak and Dongfeng's Tianlong KH are expected to hit mass production soon, and Foton's Auman Galaxy 5 is also set to launch before the year closes.
On the technology front, Zhuoyu has adapted its passenger-vehicle autonomous driving models for commercial use. Leveraging a dataset of over 3 billion kilometers from passenger cars and 400 million frames specific to heavy trucks, the company developed highway Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) capabilities for heavy-duty trucks by enhancing scene recognition and adapting to vehicle dynamics.

The Panxing lineup debuts with two versions: PDS 4 and PDS 5. While PDS 4 targets heavy-truck line-haul logistics, PDS 5 is built on a native multimodal foundation model. It is designed to eventually support highway and urban NOA for buses, light trucks, and vans.
Zhuoyu also revealed that its AI reinforcement learning fuel-saving algorithm achieved a tested reduction rate of 4.5% to 7.5%. Company estimates suggest this could save between 20,000 and 30,000 yuan in fuel costs per vehicle annually—potentially allowing the driver-assistance system to pay for itself within a year.
It is worth noting that Zhuoyu first outlined its commercial vehicle strategy back at the Beijing auto show earlier this year. This latest event served to clarify its technical roadmap and production timeline. However, since partnerships with the seven brands span various stages—from model designation to mass production and delivery—the actual scale of deployment and real-world operational performance remain to be seen.
