Gasgoo Munich-GMO INTERNET GROUP has begun selling Unitree's humanoid robots in Japan, effective June 19, according to a June 23 report by Gasgoo.
GMO AI & Robotics (GMO AIR), a subsidiary focused on humanoid robotics, has signed a formal agency agreement with Unitree. Starting in 2025, the company plans to lease Unitree's G1 to enterprises. Beyond the humanoid G1 and H1 models, the partnership also covers sales of quadruped robots.
Daily rental for the G1 starts at 100,000 yen (about 4,200 yuan). If purchased outright, the price "will vary depending on the specifications required by the enterprise."
On June 1, Unitree's initial public offering (IPO) application for the STAR Market was approved by the Shanghai Stock Exchange's listing committee.

Founded in 2016, Unitree spent its first few years focused on quadruped robots. During this period, the company rolled out models like the Laikago, AlienGo, and A1, gradually building a solid technical foundation in the field.
A shift came in 2020, when Unitree began advancing two product lines in parallel: the consumer-grade Go series and the industrial-grade B series. Subsequent launches, including the Go1, B1, Go2, B2, and B2-W, propelled the company to the top of the global quadruped robot market.
According to its prospectus, Unitree sold more than 33,000 quadruped robots between 2023 and 2025, securing the top spot in global market share for multiple consecutive years.
