The light bus market saw a ‘roughly flat’ performance in 2005. The sales of light busses totaled 145,768 units, declining by 6.2% year on year at a steeper pace compared to the midi bus market segment. The market share went down by 1 % to 14.7%.

Though suffering a sharp decline in sales (-10.3%), Jinbei Auto still remained No1 in this segment, with a market share reaching 37.7%, followed by Jiangxi Jianglin, BAIC Foton and NAC Group. Southeast (The 2nd Group) totally accounted for 39.7%.
