A total of 61,945 mid-size (midi) buses were sold in China in 2005, showing a slight decline (-0.1%) with regard to the previous year. The market share of this segment remained at 6.3%, the same of 2004.

Kinglong and Yutong were the biggest winners, selling 21,166 units, accounting for a market share of 33%, followed by Yangzhou Yaxing, Anhui JAC, Jiangsu Youyi, Henan Shaolin, and Jiangsu Mudan, accounting for a share of 20%. The other 60 manufacturers were competing to gain from the remaining shares.
