The total sales of heavy-duty trucks (including complete vehicle, truck chassis and semi-trailers) amounted to 232,170 in 2005, dropped by 29.69 % year on year and the sales of truck chassis were far more than that of complete vehicles.
65,837 heavy-duty trucks (complete vehicles, >14t) were sold in 2005, dropped by 32.84% year on year. Dongfeng Motor remained No1 in sales ranking, and the BAIC Foton overtook FAW to become No2 in this ranking, with sales amounting to a total of 11,223, trailed by Sinoturck, Shanxi Auto and Beifang Benchi.
