There were a total of 32 light truck manufacturers in 2005 and the total sales reached 853,600 units, an increase of 10.10% year-on-year, among which the complete vehicle and chassis achieved 755,600 (+6.13%) and 97,900 units (54.63) respectively.
SALES OF LIGHT TRUCK '04 '05
BAIC Foton has been the biggest winner in this segment, totally selling 274,575 units, accounting for a share of 32.17%. Dongfeng Motor overtook the JAC (No2 in 2004) and FAW Group (No3 in 2004) to became No2 in this market with a total sale of 87,126 (+32.88%). And Jiangxi Jianglin was the only one emerged in the Top 8 displaying a sales decrease.
