CATL Signals Strategic Shift with Major Interim Dividend
Battery giant CATL has announced an interim cash dividend of about RMB 6.18 billion, one of the largest mid-year payouts by a Chinese manufacturing company.
The move reflects a shift in CATL's strategy. After years of prioritizing aggressive investment in battery production capacity and next-generation technologies, the company is now placing greater emphasis on delivering long-term returns to shareholders.
Supported by its leadership in the global EV battery market and the continued growth of its energy storage business, CATL's strong cash flow is enabling it to balance expansion with shareholder value.
