CATL, Galbot deploy first heavy-duty humanoid robot powered by CATL batteries
CATL and Galbot recently signed a global strategic cooperation agreement focused on upgrading intelligent manufacturing lines, accelerating the global deployment and large-scale adoption of embodied intelligent robots, and jointly establishing the world's first aftermarket service standard for embodied intelligence. The partnership centers on the Galbot S1, described as the world's first embodied intelligent robot for routine operations powered by CATL batteries.
The Galbot S1 is designed for industrial applications rather than demonstration purposes, featuring dual-arm payload capacity of 50 kilograms, centimeter-level visual positioning accuracy, and 360-degree omnidirectional obstacle avoidance. Equipped with CATL battery cells utilizing cathode particle grading technology, low-lithium-consumption anodes, and biomimetic self-healing electrolytes, the system achieves a PPB-level cell failure rate and supports more than eight hours of operation. The robot has already entered CATL's intelligent production lines, undertaking long-distance autonomous tasks in module and battery pack manufacturing. Meanwhile, the cooperation extends CATL's existing after-sales capabilities from power batteries and energy storage systems to embodied intelligent robots, while Enpower plans to establish a dedicated service standard for the sector.

Li Auto officially unveiled the all-new L8 on June 23, 2026, introducing two variants—Ultra and Livis—with official retail prices of 369,800 yuan and 429,800 yuan, respectively. During the introductory sales period ending July 6, the models are available at limited-time prices of 359,800 yuan and 419,800 yuan. The launch marks a strategic repositioning of the L8 from a six-seat configuration to a native five-seat flagship SUV targeting the premium large SUV segment.
Built on a dedicated five-seat architecture, the new L8 features four standard zero-gravity seats, becoming the industry's only five-seat SUV to offer this configuration. The lineup is equipped with Li Auto's third-generation 5C range-extender system and a 72.7-kWh ultra-fast charging battery, delivering a CLTC pure electric range of 430 kilometers and a combined range of 1,670 kilometers. The system supports charging from 10% to 80% in 10 minutes.
