Founded 29 years ago, Chery has grown from one of China's earliest advocates of independent automotive R&D into the first Chinese automaker to master the core technologies of the engine, transmission, and chassis. The company surpassed 1 million cumulative sales in 2007, and has since crossed the milestones of 2 million, 3 million, and 5 million units.

Today, Chery's business spans vehicle manufacturing, auto components, financial services, robotics, and intelligent technologies, supported by a portfolio of more than 400 technological innovations. In the 2026 Fortune China 500 ranking, Chery made its debut as a listed company and ranked first among automakers in return on equity (ROE).

Globally, Chery's products are sold in more than 130 countries and regions, with nearly 7 million overseas users, accounting for around 35% of its total customer base. In the first half of 2026, the company exported 943,800 vehicles, up 71.5% year over year, setting new monthly export records for four consecutive months.

Positioned as a long-range electric sedan, the Fulwin A9 adopts Chery's new "Lingfeng Aesthetics" design language, featuring a closed-off front fascia and split matrix headlights. The design has won the 2026 Red Dot Product Design Award.

The vehicle measures 4,836 mmlong, 1,896 mm wide, and 1,489 mm high, with a 2,900 mm wheelbase, while achieving a drag coefficient of just 0.22 Cd.

All variants are equipped with a 70 kWh Rhino E lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering a CLTC-rated driving range of 655 km. Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes 20 minutes.

For intelligent driving, the Fulwin A9 Max LiDAR Edition is equipped with Chery's Falcon driver assistance system, featuring one 128-line LiDAR sensor, three millimeter-wave radars, 11 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars. The system supports highway NOA, urban NOA, and automated parking assistance.

Li Auto L9 Cumulative Deliveries Reach 300,000 Units

On July 24, Li Auto announced that cumulative deliveries of the Li L9 had surpassed 300,000 units.

According to retail registration data from CATARC Data, as of June 2026, the Li L9 ranked first among full-size SUVs in Chinain cumulative insurance registrations.

The Li L9 was launched in June 2022, with deliveries beginning at the end of August 2022. In September that year, the 10,000th Li L9 rolled off the production line at the Changzhou manufacturing base, setting an industry record. It took less than four years for the flagship SUV to grow from its first customer delivery to 300,000 cumulative deliveries.

Its voice assistant has responded to users 2.947 billion times, while 55 OTA updates have introduced 1,003 new features and optimized 825 existing functions.

The Li L9 has remained one of China's most popular flagship family SUVs thanks to its spacious cabin, premium in-car amenities, and extended-range electric powertrain. Its success has also helped make the combination of an EREV powertrain and a comfort-focused "living room on wheels" experience a defining trend in China's "9-series" SUV segment.
