XPeng smart flagship SUV G9 makes debut at Auto Guangzhou 2021

Guangzhou (Gasgoo)- XPeng Inc. today unveiled its all-new smart flagship SUV model, the G9, at the Auto Guangzhou 2021. At the show, the company also launched its express service brand X-SERVICE and its used car brand X-CERTIFIED.

The G9 is the company’s first model which targets global markets from the very beginning of its development. The new SUV model is developed to be compliant with the C-NCAP and E-NCAP five-star safety design standards, as well as the EU WVTA vehicle certification standards.

The new model’s front ends adopt the company’s iconic X Robot Face, completed by daytime running lights. Two LiDARs are integrated into the headlights.

Thanks to its full-stack in-house development capability, XPeng has made revolutionary changes in hardware, software and communication architecture of the G9, creating the X-EEA 3.0 electronic and electrical architecture, which adopts a highly integrated hardware architecture and can carry chips with higher performance, making higher level intelligent assistance driving and more powerful intelligent cockpit possible.

The G9 will become the first production model to adopt XPILOT 4.0 intelligent assistance driving system. Based on the architecture, vehicle OTA can be shortened to within 30 minutes.

The new model is powered by the company’s XPower 3.0 powertrain system. As the first production model based on the 800V high-voltage SiC platform in the country, the vehicle can gain a range of 200km with 5 minutes’ of super-fast charging.  

The smart express X-SERVICE will offer online, intelligent, and mobile services which will be totally different from traditional services. For example, via a dedicated service group, the service captain can offer full-cycle services, spanning from order, delivery to vehicle usage. The company has launched the service in 23 cities across China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

Through its used car brand X-CERTIFIED, XPeng aims to build a smart, high-quality used car service ecosystem, where customers can trade vehicles efficiently and safely. In the future, the system will open to all XPeng’s customers.

Besides, XPeng also showcased its other products at the show, including the P5, the P7 and the G3i.
