Bright spots of NIO at Auto Shanghai 2021

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- At the ongoing Auto Shanghai 2021, NIO is striving to grab the attention of as many as viewers by bringing its iconic NIO House experience and showcasing its entire product lineup.

Among the models being showed, the ET7, NIO's smart electric flagship sedan unveiled at the NIO Day in January, made its first appearance at an auto show with the official debut of the interior.

According to NIO, the ET7 features NIO Autonomous Driving (NAD), the company's latest autonomous driving technology. With NIO Aquila super sensing system and NIO Adam supercomputing platform, NAD will gradually deliver the relaxing and safe point-to-point autonomous driving experience in scenarios like an expressway, urban, parking, and battery swap.

The ET7's exterior colors come in Cloud White, Deep Black, Star Gray, and Southern Star. In addition, three new exterior paints are added to the palette: Sunrise Beige, Luminous Orange, and the NIO Color of 2021, Arctic Green, which was announced at the motor show.

Arctic Green is inspired by the majestic northern lights in Tromsø, Norway, one of the best places to watch auroras, said NIO. The color will also be available to the EC6 coupe SUV and the ES6 SUV, both of which also appeared at the show.

In the meantime, NIO also displays its first production model ES8 SUV, the all-electric sports car EP9, NIO's autonomous concept car EVE, and the Power Swap Station 2.0.

On the opening day of the auto exhibition, NIO announced its new energy supply plan “Power North” that focuses on the construction of EV charging and battery swapping infrastructures and charging preferential policies for consumers using NIO's cars in North of China.

Under the Power North plan, over the next three years, NIO will deploy a total of 100 Power Swap stations, 120 Power mobile charging vehicles, 500 Power Charger stations with over 2,000 Power Chargers, as well as over 10,000 destination chargers in eight provinces and autonomous regions, including Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia, and Xinjiang.

According to the Power North, from July 1, 2021 to December 31, 2024, users who have NIO's cars charged by NIO's public charging piles will enjoy free power supply quota of 1,000 kWh per year. After running out of the free quota, consumers can make their vehicles charged up without paying service charges.

At the Auto Shanghai 2021, NIO Life, NIO's lifestyle brand, initiated the fashion project “Blue Sky Lab”, which is designed to recycle the materials left from the car production process to create fashion products. Labelled with an exclusive symbol, products under the collection will be launched this fall.
